Established in March 2019, Bootsma Bakery is a European-inspired bakery with proud Dutch roots. Our mission is to nourish our community and celebrate life_x0019_ s milestones with delicious, handcrafted baked goods. Founded by a young family with a deep passion for baking and serving others, we pour our heart and soul into everything we create. Steve, our fourth-generation baker, carries on a legacy that began with his grandfather, Rudy Bootsma. Rudy honed his craft in Holland before moving to Canada, where he established bakeries in Vancouver and Calgary. Steve grew up immersed in the art of baking alongside his father in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, and continues to honor his family_x0019_ s traditions while bringing his own creative touch to recipes. At Bootsma Bakery, we bake from scratch every night, ensuring that everything we offer is fresh each day. We proudly use locally sourced ingredients from Canada_x0019_ s Premier Food Corridor to craft everything from our world-famous cheese buns to light and fluffy donuts. Each product is made with the utmost care, emphasizing quality and flavor, without preservatives. We believe in giving back to our community, donating leftover baked goods to the local soup kitchen.
